Cameron Addicott

Bio

Cameron Addicott is a former undercover officer with H.M. Customs and the Serious Organised Crime Agency.

He spent nearly twenty years working as a Criminal Investigator, Covert Surveillance Operative & Commander, Informant Handler and Undercover Officer.

In 2008 Cameron left SOCA to travel the world and write the first part of his memoirs. The Interceptor was published by Penguin in July 2010, and went straight to #1 in the Amazon True Crime Bestseller list. 

In 2013 the BBC purchased the rights to The Interceptor. The book was used as an inspiration for the BBC1 crime drama series of the same name.  Produced by BBC Drama and BBC Worldwide the 1st series was transmitted in June 2015.

In 2001 Cameron was selected to serve in Alpha Projects, the ultra secret unit that targeted the top echelon of the UK’s criminal community. He intercepted the phones of major drug smugglers, money launderers and armed blaggers, using this intelligence to intercept huge shipments of drugs, prevent gangland killings and interdict the flow of millions of pounds of the criminals’ profits.

The Interceptor, the first part of his memoirs was published by Penguin in 2010 and went straight to #1 in the Amazon True Crime Bestsellers list.
